It has been a busy month!! Roman had surgery at the end of November on his foot. He is on crutches & using a wheelchair when he needs a break. Needless to say between tending to him & Calli things have been a little hectic for me. I haven't posted as much as I would have liked. Roman will be getting a walking boot in early Jan so hopefully soon things will get back to normal. (whatever that is)
We did take a break & committ to act again in The Path to the Cradle at our church. It is an interactive Christmas drama depicting the events of the nativity story. They have different scenes that focus on the true meaning of Christmas & people walk through. Last year when Calli was 4 months old we were Mary, Joseph & Baby Jesus. This year we were Mary, Joseph & Toddler Jesus & played in the Magi Scene. On Thurs night Calli did very well as people came through. She played with blocks (or snacked on animal cookies) as the narrator told the story of the Three Wisemen (or Magi) & then she would sit on my lap & watch as the Three Wisemen approached & laid the gifts at Jesus's feet. She did fanstatic. Sat night was a little bit rougher on her & she did not cooperate so well. Calli's Tio Joe & Tia Carol came on Sat & before they had a chance to walk through we had to pull Calli & switch with the other family that was also playing the scene. They were able to get a shot of us before Calli had her meltdown. Tia Carol is really good about getting Calli to laugh & she loves the camera. This is 5 minutes before our tired girl gave up & threw a fit. I have also included the picture from last year as well. She is such a blessing to us!!!
