Better late than not at all

I am about a month late posting an update on the 'Florrrresssss Familia'! Yeah, this is Roman updating today. We have been busy during the week and weekends don't let up much either. I get home from work (College Station) about 6:15-6:30 everyday except on Tuesdays when I get off an hour earlier. Not much time to play with Calli as we put her down to sleep about 7:00-7:30 for the night. We wake up about 5:30, get ready and feed Calli and we are out the door by 6:30. Not much time to spend with Calli, but we enjoy every second we get and try to make as much time for her as possible.

Calli has been doing fine since having tubes put in. We feel she is acting much better and her follow up visit with the specialist went well, no infections and no antibiotics since the surgery. Thank You God! She is starting to say Mama, Dada & Baba! She hasn't been saying it consistently but you can tell her consonants are coming in better. We also had her 9 month pictures taken about a month ago. Here is some of our favorites. We will add more soon.

New to this......

So I have been toying with the idea of blogging our life for awhile now. I know there are family & friends who would like to keep up with our comings & goings & watching Calli grow up. So here we will give it a try.

Calli has been moving around for awhile now & has kept us on our toes. A few weeks ago she started pulling up on furniture & for the last week now has started "cruising." She seems very sure of herself & "thinks" she can walk when someone is holding her hands. It cracks me & Roman up so much.

For 4 months now Calli has had a few ear infections & they never seem to actually go away. She has been on antibiotics all this time as well. We had seen an ENT & at first resisted the tubes & we were relieved. But a month later he decided this might be the best thing for her. So on Fri she had them put in. We were nervous about the anesthesia but knew it would be the best. She was a little cranky after the surgery but within a half hour she back to smiling. She seems better & we think she is actually hearing so much better so we are happy. Hopefully her speech will start to catch up. Here are some pictures of her in her little hospital gown & some after. What a cutie!! She is such a trooper & we are so blessed to have her.
